Summer is heating up!
The festive season has finally arrived after a successful and eventful 2016, with so much excitement in the air, it is important to remember that there are some important shopping tips to consider this summer. We have listed the top 5 Skipper Bar tips for this summer to ensure that our fans are well prepared for their holiday!
1. Sun protection is key.
Sun protection is essential to skin cancer prevention – about 90 percent of non-melanoma skin cancers and about 86 percent of melanomas are associated with exposure to UV radiation from the sun. Learn how to protect yourself to stay safe, use atleast a SPF 30 to ensure your skin is protected.
2.Accessories are not just for fashion.
It is important to wear a cap/hat to protect yourself from UV radiation, and you can look good doing it 🙂 Invest in a good pair of sunglasses, although the eyelid is designed to protect the eye, its skin is exceedingly thin and contains many fragile tissues that may be injured by UV light. Inside the eye, the lens and the cornea, both transparent, filter UV rays, but by doing so for many years, they may become damaged. Check out our collection here.
3.Keeping Your Valuables Safe While Traveling.
Backpacks are not only fashionsable, but a rather necessary item for the holidays. It is easier to keep more of your valuable items on your person when wearing a backpack, always keep your valuables (ie. camera, laptop, or anything else you don’t want stolen) with you. Don’t put them under the bus or give them to a taxi/van driver offering to put your bags in the trunk. Check out our collection here.
4.Wear durable sandals.
Avoid unnecessary blisters, this is peak season for foot pain. Feet swell and sweat in warmer weather, which changes the way shoes fit. A good pair of sandals will get you through this summer just fine. Check out our collection here.
5. Eat your way to hydration.
The good news is that only 70-80% of your daily hydration needs to come from water; 20-30% should actually come from food! All whole fruits and vegetables contain some amount of water, but munch on these top picks for maximum benefit:
- 97% water: Cucumbers
